Holiday Time

Goin on me hols 2moro. Lookin forward to it.
Me and dad went down on friday night to Salcombe near where we’re camping to drop out boats off. Ok that sounds swish – just a rowing dinghy and an Enterprise (sailing).
Even tho it rained a bit while we were there there’s always something nice about going to salcombe. It’s basically been my second home since I was born. My grandma has lil house down there and we’ve been going down there for an odd weekend or two week holiday for years.
We usually camp in South Allington House – the other side of the estuary to Salcombe so easy access without being with all the fat/pasty groccles with their sensible clothes.

Anyways will take lots of piccies etc. Have a good two weeks everyone!

im pissed off me head. ahhhhhh itsfun sometimes. i love my mates tho even tho some of them are fighting. and I’m gonna get over this guy who’s ive been in love with for about 4 years really and i still love him. but im never gonna see him again now and i need t o get him outtta my head.
nitey nite pppl

This song always cheers me up…

(Everybody’s free to wear) Sunscreen – Baz Luhrman

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.
The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience…
I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you imagine.
Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.
The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing everyday that scares you
Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.
Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how. Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.
Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.
Get plenty of calcium. Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s.
Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..
Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.
Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them. Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.
Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on.
Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.
Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard;
live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.
Respect your elders.
Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you’re 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
But trust me I’m the sunscreen…

Happy Friday

It’s friday!! I dont know why I’m so happy about that as I dont do anything anyway.
Basically it’s good weather – not too hot but hot and sunny so you dont forget it’s summer. Mum and me have been tidying and cleaning etc. Put parentage bedroom back together cus it’s just been decorated so their bed was in the front room. At least now we can have the front room back.
Havin a bbq later with a few family friends coming over plus a couple of hannah’s mates. I invited jess but she’s working dammit. I seem to never have mates over. Altho it’s mainly my choice cus my parents and friends shouldnt really be in the same room together.
Anyway I will be getting drunk tonight. Or trying to with what I can find.

Vik’s back from kyle’s on sunday so some of us are going down the pub for a girly night out thing. Which will be the normal crew minus Harrison. Altho Lisa cant make it cus she working then. Anyway should be good.

That’s all I’ve gotta say.

ttfn and enjoy ur friday

I want one of these…

All sorts…

Sorry about the title – I couldnt think of anything else to describe what is on my mind.
Anyway – firstly done that job last week – I feel quite proud of myself for doing that for an entire week. Mainly becuase I’m quite shy and I hate talking to people on the phone so it did take a bit of practice. And it was sooooooo dull. Especially in quiet periods when not many calls were coming in. But nearly £300 for the week I think so that isnt too bad.

I now have 2 weeks till I go on hols to devon so I mite try and find something else via Pertemps that is just a week or a few days but quite high pay. My dad also sometimes pays me when they are doing mailshots by getting me to stuff envelopes and put stamps on them. Altho unfortunately I dont think they are doing any in the near future.

I’m also rather bored today. I dont want to do anything but I feel I should be. My best mate is away for the week this week and most of my other mates are working or busy during the day so I cant really do anything with them till the evening.

Last thing for now – I just had to say R.I.P Syd Barrett who died a week last friday. It was something to do with complications from diabetes. Rest in peace Syd Barrett – lost genius.

So I’ve been doing this part time job this week. It’s basically a call centre. It’s National Organ Donor week. There have been adverts and bits about it on ITV various local new progs etc. My job is to take calls etc in this company that deals with various campaigns and advertising.
Unfortunately the hours are 12-8.30. It’s very unsociable really.
I dont have to get up early but at 4 in the afternoon you’re only half way thru the day and I dont get home till 9 at night. It means the days go quite quickly tho.
£5.90 an hour isnt too bad tho. It’s not the hardest job in the world even if it does get rather tedious.
Anyway should be going down the pub 2moro. One of the team leaders has hired a pub/bar place for after we finish 2moro nite to go out for drinks and I spose I’ll go to that and then getting the bus straight to bemmie to meet the usual crew in the pub later.

Nothing much else to say as I havent been doing much else lately. Been having some weird dreams lately tho. Funnily enough most of them involve answering phones and people constantly talking to me and stopping sleeping. I did have something to do with a TARDIS in my dream the other night but I think that was to do with watchin the last ep of Dr Who on sunday night.
