Live music

I really don’t see enough live bands/music. There seems to be always someone I would love to see live (comedy included actually) playing live near me when I have no money. Saying that I’m going to see the Kaiser Chiefs tonight in Exeter. I’m a big fan of them and got tickets months ago. Struggled a bit getting people to come with me but it should be good fun.Another problem is amount of money – 25 quid per ticket I paid and I may not get the full amount back because lack of money of students these days. How come you cant get student prices for big bands. Some people may know that Boyzone are now jumping on the reforming bandwagon. I was slightly obsessed with them throughout teen years and still fan of Ronan. I just had to get tickets to see them too next year – another 32 quid per ticket – hopefully I’ll get money back from whoever I end up taking with me. This one is in Cardiff – been there before and it’s close to Bristol but not in Bristol. BahAnyone wanna be a gig buddy? I love going out and seeing bands but not many of my friends do.

What’s wrong with blogging?

Where has everyone in blogland gone lately? Half the blogs I regularly read don’t seem to have been posted on for months. Blogs are getting few and far between. What’s happening people? Is it the fault of facebook?

Should we or shouldnt we?

Ok so methane is actually much wose on the climate than CO2. Methane comes predominantly from farts. People say that cows are the biggest producers of methane in the world but it’s actually termites! Cows can’t actually fart, all the methane they produce comes from burps. However, when we eat more vegetables and green matter we give off more methane, in order to save the planet we shouldn’t eat vegetables but eat cows (or termites) thus decreasing the amount of methane in the atmosphere. By eating less plants, there are more growing which is putting more oxygen into the air. Also because we’re all eating meat and getting no vitamins humans will be more likely to die therefore eradicating the biggest killer of our planet. Logically it works!

About time.. a bit of bloody culture.

Last night I went to the theatre. I haven’t been to the theatre for ages – it was good tho. 5 of us went to see A Midsummer Nights Dream. It was an interesting production. About half the dialogue was in other languages – mostly asian/eastern languages and the actors were predominantly Asian. It was a bit odd – you don’t usually associate beautiful shakespeare with fairies and love with eastern cultures but it worked quite well. I’m glad I knew the basic story already tho because otherwise I would have been very lost.

Mac OS Leopard. – I’ve upgraded my OS to the latest Mac offer. I like it.. it’s very smooth and there are some very nice features such as ‘spaces’ which you can drag different windows for different activities in. Rather nice idea. The main problem now is that because I had to use so much space upgrading it, I had to transfer all my music (15 GB) to a friends server and it won’t all fit back on again. So now I’m missing about a third of my music and only have a small amount of space on the hard drive. If anyone (mac users or otherwise) knows what else it’s ok to delete off the hard drive or has smaller versions of applications that take up so much space. When I leave uni – so probably next summer I’ll get myself a Macbook with a much bigger hard drive so I don’t need to keep all my stuff on discs and other external things. I better not mention this in front of my ibook tho or it will get angry and disown me.
